Removing all AVG files from Windows requires you to use the AVG Clear Tool and delete some folders manually. Below you can find the steps on how to do this :
- Download the AVG Clear tool Setup and run the file : https://install.avcdn.net/avg/iavs9x/avgclear.exe
(Select “no” when prompt to boot into safe mode).
- Wait for the AVG Clear Tool to finish.
- Restart the computer.
- Deleting all remaining AVG folders manually in the following locations:
- C:\Program Files
- C:\Program Files x86
- C:\ProgramData (Hidden Folder)
- C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming
- C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local
- C:\Users\ Username \AppData\Local\temp (Hidden Folder)
- C:\Windows\temp
